Last year at this time I was searching Vacation Rentals By Owner to find an apartment in Pairs. While we all know how ‘well’ that went, I’m once again ushering in the new year with a new summer trip obsession. This year’s plan? Hawaii.
I think I’ve come up with a plan that works for everyone–and by everyone, I mean both my husband and myself. My husband wants: 1. To go to Vegas again. 2. To go somewhere relaxing. 3. To make me happy. Which brings me to what I want: 1. To spend as little money as possible while still being able to 2. Go to Hawaii! Thus, a great idea was born.
We shall fly to Vegas on one of those cheap flights I’m always finding in my inbox (which, after two years of travel planning, is chock full of discount travel website updates). We shall spend at least two nights in Vegas. We will then take an equally cheap flight from Vegas to Hawaii, where we will travel about for four days or so, and then settle in a beautiful house near a beach and/or a mountain for at least a week. We will then do the same thing on the return trip, with the same two day layover in Vegas.
It’s a win-win-win-win-win situation. The last three wins are, of course, for the lovely people at Visa. They will be the biggest winners of all.
