Road Trip Photos(s) of the Day: Halifax

I was so bummed today because it was raining, which meant two things:  one, I was going to look very stupid in my rain gear and two, I couldn’t take my ‘real’ camera with me, as I’m afraid of getting it wet.  Thus, today’s photo(s) of the day feature shots taken with my point and shoot, and one starring me in my stupid hat.  Enjoy!

Leaving the Citadel

The town clock, the harbor, and my ridiculous rain hat

Notice how it’s not raining in any of my photos?  That’s because it stopped before we left this morning, stormed when we tried to leave one of the pubs we visited–I say ‘tried to leave’ because we bought another round when we heard the thunder (sorry, all of those photos are on my phone) and it is storming now.  Fortunately we are safely and dry-ly in our hotel, writing blog posts (me) and doing laundry (the wonderful husband!)

  1. Are those pants that you’re wearing? 😉

  2. Heather beat me to it. I was gonna say “Holy crap! Forget the hat…it’s documented proof she owns a pair of pants!”. The best thing you seem to be wearing (not that the hat isn’t great) is a big smile in this year’s photos. Big improvement over the Paris photos where you looked ready to kill someone or burst out crying. Still waiting to see a photo of the car once it was packed before you set out from PA, photos of you having lobster somewhere in Maine, and I’d LOVE to see a weekly update post on whether you were able to mostly stick to your “Rachel Ray $40-A-Day” meal plan and eat, drink & snack on a budget (but remember even Rachel Ray sometimes went over $40/day, so don’t beat yourself up if you really want a 2nd bottle of wine once in awhile).
